In Nietzsche’s footsteps: ViSAS Blended Mobility

Autumn Camp in Turin Italy from 17th until 28th of October 2022
In October 2022, the second blended mobility in VISAS took place. After the success of the first camp this year in Barbate, Spain, this time we worked together artistically for two weeks in Piedmont’s capital Turin.
In order to implement our digital goals, namely to bring social art into the digital space, in an analog way, two youth camps were planned in ViSAS: The winter camp in February this year in Barbate, Spain was now followed by the autumn camp in October 2022 in Italy. Thereby 20 participants between 18 and 30 years, 2 trainers and our seven European partner organizations worked out the work „Thus spoke Zarathrusta“ by Friedrich Nitzsche as a play for 10 days. Before the trip, the camp was already initiated by a virtual meeting on the project’s own platform ViSAS. This served to exchange the wishes and expectations of the participants and to get to know each other. After this meeting, the participants received Nietzsche’s work in the different languages in order to be able to internalize them, since the work was to be the focus of the joint work in Turin.
For 10 days, the participants worked on Nietzsche’s work „Thus Spoke Zarathrusta“ and the future questions it raises. The young people modernized the work and performed it as a play. The play with the interpretations of Nietzsche’s words was called „Message in a bottle“ and was performed on the last day of the camp as part of a multiplier event. All 7 European project partners were present to see the result and to celebrate the participants together. The play caused a lot of applause and pleasure among the audience. Even before the play, the host project partner Cooperativa Sociale Patchanka from Turin presented the project ViSAS, our digital platform and the planned playbook in detail. After the end of the camp, the project will continue in the digital realm – on our platform. There, the young people will have the chance to network further and exhibit their own art in the digital space.
After the multiplier event, an international meeting of the project partners took place. Here we discussed the two upcoming multiplier events in Florence at the end of November and in France at the beginning of 2023, as well as working intensively together on our playbook. After having built a digital platform together over the last year and a half, the playbook will reflect our experiences and offer support if you want to digitalize your artistic social work with young people.
Herbstcamp in Turin Italien von 18. bis 28. Oktober 2022
Im Oktober fand das zweite Blended Mobility in VISAS statt. Nach dem Erfolg des ersten Camps dieses Jahr in Barbate, Spanien haben wir dieses Mal in Piemonts Hauptstadt Turin zwei Wochen lang gemeinsam künstlerisch gearbeitet.
Um unsere digitalen Ziele, nämlich soziale Kunst in den digitalen Raum zu bringen, analog umzusetzen, finden in ViSAS zwei Jugendcamps statt: Nach dem Wintercamp im Februar dieses Jahres in Barbate, Spanien folgte nun das Herbstcamp im Oktober 2022 in Italien. Dabei haben 20 Teilnehmer zwischen 18 und 30 Jahren, 2 Trainer und sieben europäische Partnerorganisationen 10 Tage lang das Werk „Also sprach Zarathrusta“ von Friedrich Nitzsche als Theaterstück erarbeitet. Vor der Reise wurde das Camp bereits durch ein virtuelles Treffen auf der projekteigenen Plattform ViSAS eingeleitet. Dieses diente zum Austausch der Wünsche und Erwartungen der Teilnehmer und zum Kennenlernen. Nach diesem Treffen haben die Teilnehmer Nietzsches Werk in den verschiedenen Sprachen bekommen, um diese verinnerlichen zu können, da das Werk der Mittelpunkt der gemeinsamen Arbeit in Turin sein sollte.
10 Tage lang arbeiteten die Teilnehmer an Nietzsches Werk „Also sprach Zarathrusta“ und den damit verbundenen Zukunftsfragen. Die Jugendlichen modernisierten das Werk und performten es als Theaterstück. Das Theaterstück mit den Interpretationen Nietzsches Wörter trug den Namen „Message in a bottle“ und wurde am letzten Tag des Camps im Rahmen eines Multiplierevents aufgeführt. Hier waren dann auch alle 7 europäischen Projektpartner dabei, um sich das Ergebnis anzuschauen und die Teilnehmer:innen gemeinsam zu feiern. Das Stück sorgte beim Publikum für viel Applaus und Vergnügen. Noch vor dem Theaterstück stellte der gastgebende Projektpartner Cooperativa Sociale Patchanka aus Turin das Projekt ViSAS, unsere digitale Plattform und das geplante Playbook eingehend vor. Nach Abschluss des Camps geht es nun im Digitalen – auf unserer Plattform – weiter. Die Jugendlichen haben dort die Chance sich weiter zu vernetzen und ihre eigene Kunst im digitalen Raum auszustellen.
Nach dem Multiplier Event fand noch ein internationales Meeting der Projektpartner statt. Hier haben wir die beiden noch kommenden Multiplier Events Ende November in Florenz und Anfang 2023 in Frankreich geplant sowie gemeinsam intensiv an unserem Playbook gearbeitet. Nachdem wir in den letzten anderthalb Jahren zusammen eine digitale Plattform gebaut haben, wird das Playbook unsere Erfahrungen wiederspiegeln und Hilfestellungen bieten, wenn man seine künstlerische Sozialarbeit mit Jugendlichen digitalisieren möchte.
